Cheeky, Sleek and Wittily Hilarious

It’s been eleven years since one of Australia’s most beloved charismatic weapon Tommy Little debuted his first solo live show back in 2007 and Tommy has certainly grown a lot since then, both professionally and personally. With an abundance of smashed out solo shows and plenty of television and radio experiences under his belt since his debut, the cleverly cheeky funny-man Tommy returns to the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival with his brand-new show: The Last King of Stupid.
In The Last King of Stupid, Tommy spends 60 minutes divulging to his audience his changing outlook on life and the idea of youths and elderly now that he’s getting older and entering ‘priddle age’, the limbo period where you’re not young anymore but also not quite old yet. From attending rapper Drake concerts, his hilarious encounters with his mother and the ridiculousness of the current fashion trends in youths; to his amusing interactions with the elderly, the female anatomy and his love for hummus, Tommy indulges his audience with not only the simple look at not being young anymore but also looking at how age means nothing and that people are happiest or most fulfilled when they see the small joys in life and act as young as they feel.
Tommy effortlessly weaves one exceptionally written and often self-deprecating anecdote to another, all the while skilfully and seamlessly incorporating his signature audience interactions into his set; leaving his audience in stitches and gasping for air from laughing.
Tommy is exceptionally gifted and it is clearly evident in his new show The Last King of Stupid. This highly refined and polished hour of comedy gold is a must see at this year’s festival.
