As a master of quick witted and captivating storytelling with a wealth of comedy festival experiences across the globe and several award nominations under her belt, the seasoned, charmingly witty Canadian/American DeAnne Smith returns to the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival with her brand-new show titled Worth It.

The theme for the show was supposed to be on money and modern-day capitalist society as she initially had written in her flyers; but DeAnne instead throws that idea out and presents a ‘coming from the heart’ hour of pure entertaining, funny bone tickling stand-up through enthralling self-deprecating narratives and audience interactions that focuses on sexuality, normality, insecurities, anxieties and fears – all the while managing to raise awareness on the importance of mental health throughout her set.

DeAnne’s has a wonderfully unique and whimsical way to tell a story and that makes her stand out in the comedic industry. That, paired with her enchanting personality and her bouncy energy works brilliantly as we, the audience find ourselves not only captivated throughout her show but also consistently catching our breaths from laughing.

The title of her show cannot be more clear: DeAnne’s new show is truly worth it so be sure to catch her show before the end of the festival. (p.s. like Marvel post-credit scenes, be sure to stay till the end of the show for a bonus story) For all information, head to https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/2018/shows/deanne-smith-worth-it
